Discover the different options for getting to the island of Moorea from Tahiti, approximately 44 km away. You have the choice between two means of transport:
The most commonly used solution is the ferry. Three companies provide regular connections between Tahiti and Moorea, with several daily rotations. Ferry crossings last on average between 30 and 45 minutes. The companies Aremiti, Terevau and Vaeara’i are responsible for these journeys. Boarding takes place at the ferry terminal, ideally located near the center of Papeete. It is however important to note that ferry crossings are not available at night. In general, the first departures take place around 5:00 am and the last trips are around 5:00 pm.
